California Default & Uncontested Divorce Course

Each lesson contains step-by-step video instructions on how to fill out judicial council divorce forms. This course is designed for self-represented parties. Through this course, our instructor will provide step-by-step instructions on how to complete California divorce forms. Enrolling into this course will provide you with access to videos and detailed instructions to file for and finish your California uncontested divorce.

Questions regarding the division of property, the determination of child custody and support, or issues pertaining to spousal support may arise during the duration of this course. Please keep in mind that no legal advice will be provided to course participants. This course is solely for couples who have resolved all their divorce issues and are ready to finish the required paperwork.

You are solely responsible for completing your own divorce forms as a pro se litigant. San Diego Esquire will not complete the forms for you nor provide you with legal advice. The only document we prepare is a marital settlement agreement  for our advanced account customers. It takes us 7 to 10 business days to complete the MSA. Please plan accordingly around your monthly subscription.

We will not file any court forms on your behalf. All course users are responsible for filing court documents with the court clerk and serving the documents on the opposing party. All course users are also responsible for their court costs and administrative fees.

You may have many questions when preparing the final judgment forms. If you have a lot of debt or assets, you may want to sign up as an advanced course user to obtain a marital settlement agreement. FL 180 requires the submission of many attachments.

This module provides an overview on which forms are required to file and complete a default or uncontested California divorce. This module contains educational information only on how to complete the required judicial council forms. You will need to check with your local court to see if you need to complete any local forms.  After you complete the lessons in this module, you should be able to understand the difference between a contested and uncontested divorce, know how to start the default or uncontested divorce process, and know which forms you need to complete to file for divorce and obtain a signed judgment.
